Dear Tyler,
For the past two days I’ve been spending my nights in and watching your movies. I don’t know what it is about your movies but your ability to allow the audience to feel all the emotions humanly possible in one movie is incredible. Everytime I watch one of your movies I cannot help but to feel hopeful afterwards, no matter what the storyline is I just feel like nothing can stop me. Like this world is mine for the taking. Tyler I want to thank you, I want to thank you for being an amazing writer, producer, director and actor. I want to thank you for choosing your cast wisely, for choosing your words carefully and for choosing to dedicate your life to creating amazing art for the world to see. But also, to feel. If I could describe you in one word it would be; Unbelievable. I hope to meet you one day, I really do. It would be an honor.
Sincerely,
Amanda Simplice

Ottawa Native Artist!
This track is called Art Of Beat Making by Erupt. I heard this song on the New Hot 89.9's Battle of the Beats with Ryan Lindsey and absolutely fell in love with it. He is from Ottawa and maybe that's a little bit of the reason why I love it so much but I always fall in love with a song that an artist has put their heart and soul into and turned it into perfection. Erupt's musical ability can't even be described, he will be very successful and if he isn't I don't know what's wrong with the music industry.
Here is the link, pleaseee go check it out!

Fall *
I'm sorry I haven't posted anything on my blog in a long time, just haven't been taking the time to do so. I will for sure promise to try harder to keep everything updated, I'm still really new at this and it's going to take a little bit of some getting use to for sure.
My friend Sara Cornthwaite is an amazing and talented young woman, she took the pictures of myself that I'm posting. We went to Andrew Hayden Park near my house, it has such beautiful scenery this time of the year, a very peaceful place to get away for anyone who just wants to get their thoughts together.
I'm at the point in my life where I finally know what path I'm on and what path I need to take in order to make my dreams come true. It's a struggle being at a young age, I mean I am only 20 years old, to find what it is I want to do for the rest of my life. I'm the type of person who gets bored easily and always needs to keep busy no matter what. So wanting to get into Fashion PR is a perfect choice for me.
Why Fashion PR? Because I want to give up and coming designers and new talent a chance to get their name out there for the world to see their talents. Too many people don't get the proper exposure they need and the right connections they strive for in order to showcase their talents. That's where I come in. I live in Ottawa, and when someone thinks of fashion and of Canada the first two cities they think about are Toronto and Montreal. Ottawa has never been recognized as a "fashion capital" but I know so many talented students who are just struggling to get their first big break. I know that's the case for a lot of people out there. I'm always on the internet researching different job opportunities, internships and reading up on how to make it in the industry and one thing I've noticed is that many of those opportunities involve having to move away to one of the fashion capitals in order to even make something of yourself. And although I don't disagree with the fact that you need to go where the opportunities are but at the same time coming from a middle-class family, I can attest that packing up and moving to an expensive city such as NYC or Toronto isn't always as easy as it seems. I want to give opportunities to people that are from small towns or "unknown" towns to have a fair chance in the fashion industry. Be a positive representative and represent my hometown as being good enough too. Expand the Ottawa fashion scene, if I was able to bring to this town even a quarter of what NYC or Toronto has to offer it would be such a great hit! I could ramble on and on about this for hours but I'm sure you all get the point. I've never been so passionate about something in my life and just the fact that I have this goal allows me to go to sleep with a smile on my face every night. For me, that's good enough for now.

RainRainGoAway*
Wow my crazy busy week ended today. Finalement. I worked 12 hours every day this week. Hell hell hell. I am SO glad it's over. I usually spend my Sunday's just bumming around, so if it rains it doesn't usually bother me. However, my friend Eryn and I have been planning to do a photoshoot for some time now and now that we've FINALLY been able to pick one day where we're both free. It rained all day long. So we decided to just stay inside her house and try to be creative. This is how it turned out.

Wyclef Jean - President?
Wyclef Jean Running For President
Looks like Wyclef Jean is running for President of Haiti. Any thoughts on this ladies and gentlemen? According to OK! Magazine actor Sean Penn has retaliated against Wyclef and his running to become Haiti's new president.
“This is somebody who’s going to receive an enormous amount of support from the United States, and I have to say I’m very suspicious of it, simply because he, as an ambassador at large, has been virtually silent. For those of us in Haiti, he has been a non-presence,” Sean said. (OK! Magazine)
My opinion on the matter? Haiti has been struggling for many many years with a corrupted government. What this country needs is a LEADER. Someone who has Haiti's best interest at heart and who has the connections to stop at nothing to make sure there are significant changes in this country in need.
This earthquake has hopefully opened the world's eyes to seeing that unfortunately it takes an immense tragedy in order for people, us, the world to realize that there are some people out there, nations just like us who need our help. If Wyclef wants to, can, and will make positive changes for this country and for the people of Haiti then I am all for it. All I want is for Haitians to stop suffering and to get the help they've been desperately wanting and needing but not getting for years to finally come true.
Wyclef if you win ... Please don't let us Down*
